I am a research assistant at the University of Coimbra and I work with Eef van Beveren. I came to Coimbra from Manchester where I have studied for my MSc and PhD. As an undergraduate I was at the University of Ioannina, Greece.
 
 
 
My current research interests involve studies on the classification of the light scalar mesons. However, during my MSc studies I have done some research on the baryogenesis problem and the electroweak phase transition, while during my PhD I had focused mainly on thermal field theory and tried to understand the QCD phase transition using the linear sigma model as an effective theory.

So why the poor mouse is scared of QCD, the initials on the building do not refer to this well known theory of modern physics, but to QCD of America an insurance company!

Some personal info:
 
  I come from a small village somewhere in east-central Hellas(Grecia), actually to be spesific, it is in Fthiotida in an area called Locrida and it is called Agios Constantinos. I think that it is quite a cool place. I hope that I could put some photos here in the near future and also some info about the region :-)
