In this video it is shown how the x and the y components of the position vector of the particle vary with time.
We have chosen here R=1 for the radius of the circle.
Notice that the x and the y components of the position vector of the particle just perform harmonic oscillations.
The speed of the particle is such that it completes 1 revolution in a time interval of 3.6 seconds. Hence, the phase of its position vector increases by 360o each 3.6 seconds. This corresponds to an angular velocity given by

ω = 100o/s = 1.75 rad/s
