In this experiment a spring is loaded with objects
of 50 gram each.
For each subsequent load the length of the spring is measured
at a cm scale.
That allows to determine the spring constant

Next, the spring with the weight is given some extra displacement and left on its own. From there on the system oscillates. We will predict the oscillation period using the obtained value for the spring constant and compare with the experimental result. |
