In the above video we have attached the velocity vector v to the particle, in order to show that it points at each instant of time in the direction of the motion of the particle, tangential to the circle it describes.
The magnitude of the velocity vector v can be obtained by evaluation of its modulus.

|v| = √( ( -ωR sin(ωt) )2 + ( ωR cos(ωt) )2 ) = ωR

Hence, the speed of the particle equals ωR.
